TVXQ took their success even further and topped the Oricon Weekly Album Chart with their new album, ‘Time’
This is the third the time the group has managed to top the Weekly Album Chart, following their compilation album ‘Best Selection 2010’ ( released February 2010) and their studio album ‘Tone’ (released September 2011).
TVXQ sold over 244,000 copies of their latest album in its first week of release, breaking TVXQ’s own record for largest first week sales. TVXQ have also had consecutive albums sell over 200,000 copies in its first week.
Oricon reported through its webpage on March 12, ‘It’s the first time a foreign artist has sold over 200,000 copies of two consecutive albums since Avril Lavigne with ‘Best Damn Thing’ five years and 11 months ago. It’s also been 12 years and 10 months since Bon Jovi became the first foreign group to set the record, meaning TVXQ is only the second.
TVXQ plans to hold a five dome tour in Japan starting from April.
